Below are the programs we administer, fund and/or participate in:
Menlo Park Electrification Programs
Menlo Park Electrification Program for Home Owners
The City of Menlo Park is working with Peninsula Clean Energy to provide new appliances, electric panel upgrades and more to improve your family’s health and comfort at home. This program is available to low-income Menlo Park households to convert outdated gas appliances to safer, healthier, more energy-efficient options.
BHCDF is administering Menlo Park Electrification Bundle Program for Renters, a program recently added to the other City electrification projects.
Safer Bay - East Palo Alto
The Strategy to Advance Flood protection, Ecosystems Restoration and Recreation along San Francisco Bay (SAFER Bay) project is a multi-jurisdictional and public-private collaboration to protect communities and critical infrastructure from sea level rise and tidal flooding in the cities of Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. In Menlo Park, the project will use levees, flood-walls, and natural solutions to protect 3.7 miles of shoreline – safeguarding homes, schools, business, and roads from coastal flooding. Over the next 12 months, the City will seek input from community members on the design of the elements needed to protect our shore.
Belle Haven Community Development Fund will provide Public Outreach Services for this project.
The Sponsored Employment Program (SEP) is a crime prevention initiative led by One East Palo Alto (OEPA) that provides summer employment, mentoring, and community engagement opportunities for young people (ages 14 – 24) with the greatest challenges to employment. BHCDF joined the implementing partners to expand the program into Belle Haven and participates as a member of the Logistics Team.
Applications for participants and resumes for peer mentors will be accepted in April & May 2026.
Belle Haven Mini Grant
The Belle Haven Mini Grant offered small grants for local "curb appeal" home improvement projects and community building events that significantly benefited the Belle Haven neighborhood of Menlo Park, California. The program was funded by the City of Menlo Park and administered by Belle Haven Community Development Fund.
We are not accepting Mini Grant Applications at this time. Please check back in the Spring of 2026.
